BBW Clubs, Bashes or Parties are being held across the country. Some have dropped or relaxed the size policy which can only be seen as a good thing in respect to size acceptance. This allows a BBW or BHM to bring along with them a ‘smaller’ friend for support. I am sure some of you will relate with the thought of walking into a new place where you have never been before, let alone met anyone there before, a daunting experience. This has at time actually put people off going so therefore some large folks not being able to join in the fun. Mainstream night clubs are daunting for some big people whereby they find it uncomfortable from some of the looks and comments they have experienced in the past, these clubs, parties and bashes breakdown barriers for big people.
One of the leading nights out for big people is run by Kaye of Loving it Large (LIL). LIL currently hold their Biggie nights out monthly in London and Cradiff and Birmingham. There are also lunches that are held by LIL in various places in the country allowing people to meet up who would otherwise find it difficult to go to a nightly venue. There is also a chat room there where you can drop in and chat to like minded people and you never know you could strike up a friendship with someone who does attend the nights out or lunches, at least then you would have someone to meet up with and not feel so nervous about walking into a ‘strange’ place.
The UK BBW Group holds bashes around the country. They are held over a weekend and are great fun to go to and meet up and spend time with like minded people.
